It was a simple idea that struck gold. A recent graduate of Florida A&M University and Quincy, FL native turned into an overnight sensation by producing a beat that went viral on social media. Jarvis Rittman, known as “Jritt” to his growing fan base, combined the unlikely pair of “Deli” by Ice Spice and “All About the Benjamins” by Diddy, creating a mesmerizing fusion that captivated the online world known as “Benjamins Deli.”

Jritt, who initially started making beats for fun during his freshman year at FAMU, described the moment of inspiration as serendipitous.

“I was home at my computer, dancing to ‘Deli’ by Ice Spice, when ‘All About the Benjamins’ by Diddy popped into my head and I thought, why not put the two together?’” Rittman said. “It was a wildly interesting mix, but I went with it.”

What started as a casual experiment soon escalated into a viral sensation. Likes on his beat started to increase daily and the sound began to attract major attention. The “WOW” moment arrived when celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Jimmy Fallon, and other big names began to use the viral sound in their content. The popularity of the “Jersey dance music” styled beat continued to soar on social media, with many people having heard it without realizing it was “Jritt” who produced it.

As of now, the viral sound has amassed an astonishing 7.2 million plays on TikTok, with over 502.8 thousand posts featuring it. Anxious to see the creator behind the sound, Jritt’s social media following quickly began to rise in numbers. Starting with around 300 followers via TikTok, less than 3 weeks later, the account now stands at 5,000 followers and is growing. The journey from a college student experimenting with music production to a now-viral sensation in the world of social media is nothing short of remarkable.

Blessed with an ear for music at an early age and serving as a former Marching “100” drum major, Jritt’s love for music production came as no surprise. What began as a hobby during his early time at FAMU, where a friend taught him how to operate basic software for creating beats, quickly turned into a passion when he decided to take producing seriously during his junior year.

“I’ve always believed in myself and worked hard at my craft,” Rittman said. “I knew I would blow up one day; I just never knew it would be this soon.”

His journey was not without inspiration, as Jritt drew motivation from renowned producers like Timbaland and Zaytoven and their unique producing styles. Just as his role models have achieved, Jritt hopes to leave a mark in the music industry, wanting people around the world to recognize his distinctive beats.

This FAMU graduate’s story is a testament to the power of creative passion, belief in oneself, and the boundless opportunities that the digital age provides. Jritt’s viral success highlights that dreams can turn into reality with talent, dedication, and a bit of serendipity. This is certainly the beginning of a bright career for Jritt, leaving everyone eager for what this rising music producer has in store for the world.
