Florida A&M University School of Business and Industry alumna, Candice Lenoir, is competing in a contest geared toward helping aspiring actors, artists and directors showcase their craft. Lenoir, if selected, will star in a short film alongside Nia Long. Long, a renowned actress has starred in an array of films, including “Love Jones,” “Boyz N’ the Hood” and “Are We There Yet.” Lenoir is among the top ten finalists.
“It would be such an honor to not only co-star with Nia Long, but to represent my university in the process,” Lenoir said. “FAMU gave me the opportunity to network with such wonderful, intelligent and creative people that made it easier for me to branch away from the business aspect to pursuing my dreams as an actress. To have that niche of people in your corner once you graduate is an awesome feeling.”
Voting for the Celluid contest ends Tuesday, Nov. 30. The vote can be cast via Facebook at http://www.talenthouse.com/creativeinvites/preview/a85bbdf89a9cede2f0913fca2cc40a54/153, or via text message by texting kw8v3y to the number 53295.
