The second suspect charged in connection with breaking into an iRattler account is free on bail following his arrest on Friday.
Haskel Carlos Davis, III, was booked at the Leon County Jail Friday, posted $2,500 bond the same day and was released.
Florida A&M University Department of Public Safety charged Davis, 22, of Boynton Beach, with one count of fraudulent use of a credit card.
Ryan Lee Owens, 19, of Miami Gardens was arrested recently in connection to a similar case. Both were FAMU students at the time of the alleged incidents. According to the FAMU Department of Public Safety, Owens was involved in an incident, which occurred on April 13, and Davis, in a separate incident that occurred, on April 7. FAMU police report that the fraud occurred when the suspects gained unauthorized access to another FAMU student’s information contained in their iRattler account and used this information for personal gain by diverting funds to another bank outside the state.
Owens was arrested on August 26 and has been out on bail. Following Owens arrest FAMU PD issued a warrant for Davis’s arrest. Anyone with information about the cases should contact the FAMU Public Safety Department at 599-3256.
