“We came out and wanted to win and we thought the second game was ours, but a few bad mistakes in the end hurt us and cost us the game,” senior Jessica Bond said.
Florida A&M fought hard in the third set but mistakes cost them dearly as they lost the set 25-21. The Bulls made a mini run to take control and then never looked back. The Lady Rattlers put together their most complete game of the season and were competitive throughout.
“Our defense and ball control was a lot better this game and it gave us chances to win this game. These non-conference games are just to get us ready for Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Competition,” said outside hitter Bianca Rucker.
The Lady Rattlers have to be pleased with their efforts this game and can only get better as they get deeper into the season.
” The team showed a lot of fight but it’s a sign of things to come we still need a few more games under our belt, and the longer you play with each other the better we get. When get momentum we have to learn how to use the opportunities given to us by the other team and we will be ok,” said coach Tanio Trifonov.
