If you are looking for a great place to treat yourself to something nice and special you should visit the Lucy and Leo’s Cakery. Lucy and Leo’s Cup Cakery is a cozy little bakery that is located on Thomasville Rd right after the Whataburger. As I pulled into the drive way the first thing that caught my eye was the colorful pink building that put me in the mind of when I was growing up. When I open the door to my car the first thing that hit me was the smell of fresh cup cakes that lingered in the air. As I enter the bakery and a lady greets me with a smile and a friendly hello while spreading a white creamy toping on a cup cake. The building was small yet wide that seats 14 people nicely with a very friendly environment. The bakery has several pictures on the wall that gives the bakery a warm feeling that reminds you of being at home.On the right side when you enter the bakery there are a row of tables that seats people two to a table. On the left side of the bakery is where you take your order, but as you order you can see your cup cakes made fresh from scratch. As I took a seat at the at the counter I had a chance to taste the bakery best selling cup cake that is the red velvet cup cake. The Red Velvet cup cake had great taste and has very rich textural that will bring your mouth to a water before to eat the cup cake. The bakery has daily flavors such as Chocolate, Vanilla, Oreo, Red Velvet, German Choc, Grasshopper, Blue Sky and Vegan Choice, which are Wednesday specials. The prices start as low as 75 for a mini size cup cake and $2.25 for standard size.Lucy and Leo’s Cakery are named after their dogs Leo and Lucy which was the neighbor’s dog.
