Torey Alston, FAMU Alumni and former SGA president, has been appointed to Florida A&M’s Board of Trustees by Gov. Charlie Crist. The 25-year-old Ft. Lauderdale native succeeds former member Lara Branker and will serve through Jan. 6, 2015.
Alston said he is humbled by the opportunity to serve his alma mater.
“Well, first I have to say that without my Lord and Savior, this opportunity would not have been possible,” Alston said. “I look forward to representing the full rattler community, young rattlers and seasoned rattlers, as a new voice on the Board of Trustees.”
