TLC’s Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas made a stop at Florida A&M University to conduct an interview with WANM 90.5. Chilli, who is known for lending her vocals to TLC hits like “Don’t Go Chasing Waterfalls,” “Diggin’ On You,” and “No Scrubs,” said her experience at FAMU was fun and she would be returning soon.
FAMUAN: So what brings you to Florida A&M?
TJ’s DJs, but I’ll be back on June 7 for Sean D’s birthday.
FAMUAN: Are you working on anything at the moment? Are there any upcoming projects in the future?
Oh sure. I’m working on a solo project. My single has already been released, “Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.” I’m also working on the 2008 “No Scrubs.”
FAMUAN: Why did you decide to go solo?
I just love doing music. I’ll keep doing it as long as God keeps preserving my youth.
FAMUAN: Well, praise the Lord. What do you think about the University?
I love FAMU. It has the best band in the world. I’ve got to do something with the band. Definitely.
FAMUAN: And what about Tallahassee? Have you been enjoying yourself?
Oh, yes. I’ve felt so much love. I can’t wait to come back.
